I'm Denae Hively

In 2019 I had been contracted by a marketing expert to help grow his list leading up to the launch of his newest book. With a list of approximately 50,000, his publisher was looking for a spike in followers and subscribers before the book officially was released since the topic of the book was broad and could impact several different industries. Because of this, we took the idea of the book and hosted over 20 Summits in separate industries, teaching the same topic but with a spin on that individual industry.

We took different topics and applied those topics to many different industries. We interviewed experts on a broad topic, but had the speakers hone in and narrow down the principles and the outcomes that would appeal to the industry that we hosted the summit for. Up until this time, I was familiar with summits, but I had never really taken a deep dive into what a summit or its planning phase looked like until I was contracted to literally host and run 20 of them over the course of three months.

That deep dive showed me what to do, what not to do, what worked, what didn’t work, what speakers responded well to, what speakers got irritated with, how to streamline the process, and how to get really good responses from your speakers and audience members. I learned a lot and by the time I had done three, then four, and five I had it down to where I needed to use my own scripts, my own checklist, and my own proven process, so I got to work.

Since then, I've seen summits triple the size of my clients' audiences, and I've seen people hit their annual revenue goals in just a one-week long summit. I’ve seen some really incredible results and have cheered for several baby businesses as they used a summit to get them started on their path to success.
